Before setting up your Trezor device, make sure of the following:

Step-by-Step Setup Guide at Trezor.io/Start

1. Go to the Official Setup Page

Visit trezor.io/start. Select your device: Trezor One or Model T.

2. Install Trezor Suite

Trezor Suite is the official desktop and browser interface for managing your wallet. Download it securely from the site.

3. Connect Your Trezor® Device

Plug your Trezor into your computer or smartphone using the USB cable. You’ll be prompted to install the latest firmware if it's a new device.

4. Create a New Wallet

Choose “Create New Wallet” and follow the instructions on your device and the app.

Important: You will be shown a 12 or 24-word recovery seed. Write this down on paper and never store it digitally.

5. Confirm Recovery Seed

Trezor will ask you to confirm specific words from your recovery seed to ensure it's saved correctly.

6. Set a PIN

Add a PIN for local device security. This prevents unauthorized users from accessing your funds if they have your device.

7. Access Your Dashboard

You’re now ready to send, receive, and manage your crypto assets directly from the Trezor Suite dashboard.

Warning: Trezor support will NEVER ask for your seed phrase. If anyone asks, it's a scam!

Recovery Process

Lost or damaged device? No problem—your assets can be recovered using your 12/24-word seed phrase:

  1. Buy or borrow a new Trezor
  2. Select “Recover Wallet” during setup
  3. Enter your recovery seed carefully

This will restore your entire wallet and access to your funds.
